So I haven't been running as much as I was planning. I did get some 5km runs in on a vacation to Kalispel Montana and a couple other times meeting up with one of my running buddies. My son even joins me on the runs and rides his bike... my sprints are awesome now too and I can beat him and he's riding his bike... without an asthma attack too.
The middle of this month my son was practicing for one of his Jr Rodeo events, I was helping him with his barrel pattern when my horse decided she wanted to go fast and I didn't and that's when she bucked me off. I did a forward somersault in the air and landed on my tailbone then rolled to the side to miss getting stepped on. So yes I was mad as I found out that I had a slight fracture in my tailbone and was told to not run for 6 weeks. Really could this really be happening to me... NO running... I was frustrated and upset. I was hoping to run a 10km race the September long weekend and now I couldn't do it because of my cranky horse. (I actually don't know what happened and it could have been a number of things) I decided that I am lucky that nothing major happened and this will heal in time. Right??
